I’ve always loved fun and unique watches — bold colours, nostalgic tech, and designs that don’t take themselves too seriously. That’s exactly what sparked BSOTWatches. BSOT stands for Beverley Son of Time, a little nod to Beverley in East Yorkshire, where this whole journey started.
Originally, I launched the site to sell vintage pieces, but it didn’t take long before I got hooked on Casio mods — especially the Casio AE1200, better known as the Casio Royale.
What Makes BSOT Different? BSOTWatches isn’t about mass-produced pieces or generic digital watches. Every watch I mod is limited edition, individually numbered, and designed to be something you can’t find anywhere else. I mod the Casio Royale AE1200 into colourful, collectible watches — and each drop has its own theme. From resin straps in loud weekend colours to sleeker combos for everyday wear, there’s something fun about switching it up. Most importantly, I only make small batches — usually just 7 to 25 watches per design — so you know you’re getting something special.
Why Casio Royale Mods? The Casio AE1200 is a cult classic — a retro digital watch with world time features and a layout inspired by 80s tech and James Bond gadgets. It’s no surprise modding it has become a creative playground for enthusiasts like me. I love pushing the boundaries with colour combos and custom parts. It’s not about chasing trends — it’s about creating Casio mods that give you that “wow” moment when you see them. Whether it’s a Traffic Light Edition or an exclusive strap combo, the goal is to bring joy and nostalgia to your wrist.
Handmade in the UK, with Pride Every BSOT watch is modded by me personally. I’m a one-man operation, and that means every detail — from packaging to the caseback numbering — is done with care. I want every customer to feel like they’ve got something truly unique and made just for them. This is a side hustle right now, but my long-term goal is to keep growing the brand through exclusive Casio Royale drops, better mods, and fresh design ideas.
Who’s It For? Anyone who wants something different. If you’re into retro tech, custom watches, or just love standing out — these are for you. I’ve noticed the sweet spot tends to be guys aged 25–50 who want something a bit nostalgic but with modern flair.
What’s Next? I’ve got loads of ideas for future Casio mod drops. Some will come back in new batches, others will be one-and-done. Either way, you’ll always know how many exist — and what number you’ve got.
